Our 17 kW installation at the University of Massachusetts Agriculture Experiment Station in South Deerfield, MA. This installation has been operational since March 2011.
UMass grew pasture grass for 2011 and experienced full power production while livestock grazed throughout the spring and summer under the array. Early results show a nominal effect of the increased shading on the pasture grass and no effect on the livestock. The livestock actually took advantage of the shading during the hot summer days.
