As part of the NREL InSPIRE Project, https://www.nrel.gov/news/features/2019/beneath-solar-panels-the-seeds-of-opportunity-sprout.html, Hyperion was been developing a model for farmers, solar developers, and all other invested parties, to utilize when weighing the cost benefits of dual-use solar. We were able to accomplish this by cost comparing farms without solar, a traditional solar installation, and a dual-use system.
The document below is the excel model. It is ready to be used by all farmers. Please also note, this model was created based on the Massachusetts SMART Program and the incentives within the Program. Please be sure to only enter information into the blue cells.
